Embassy Suites Baton Rouge, Louisiana Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) for the Embassy Suites Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As the GM, you will lead and inspire a team, ensuring the hotel operates at its highest level of excellence, delivering top-notch guest satisfaction, driving financial success, and maintaining brand standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the guest experience, oversee a diverse team, and contribute to the hotel’s long-term success. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of hotel operations, and a passion for delivering an outstanding experience to both guests and associates. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development: Oversee all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, and maintenance. Foster a guest-first culture, ensuring the highest levels of service and satisfaction. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, promoting a collaborative, motivated environment. Drive performance through effective leadership, clear communication, and performance management. Build a culture of accountability, creativity, and innovation across all departments. Financial Management: Develop and manage the hotel’s financial performance, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, and capital expenditure planning. Monitor profit and loss reports, ensuring profitability and cost control through effective decision-making. Implement revenue management strategies to maximize room rates, occupancy, and overall profitability. Optimize operational efficiency while maintaining a balance of cost-effective solutions and exceptional service quality. Guest Experience & Brand Excellence: Ensure consistent adherence to Embassy Suites brand standards while elevating guest experiences. Lead efforts to improve guest satisfaction scores, ensuring a memorable experience for every visitor. Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and make real-time improvements. Lead initiatives for guest loyalty programs and personalized guest recognition strategies. Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for growing market share, increasing occupancy, and expanding revenue across all segments (business, leisure, group, etc.). Represent the hotel in the local community, establishing strong relationships with key partners, businesses, and stakeholders. Leverage community relationships and marketing tactics to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation. Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth coordination of hotel operations for maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, environmental sustainability initiatives, and local regulations. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs without compromising service quality. Community Engagement & Public Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships within the Baton Rouge community, positioning the hotel as a preferred destination for locals and visitors alike. Participate in local events, organizations, and community activities to increase the hotel’s presence and reputation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive hotel management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a full-service, luxury, or boutique hotel. Demonstrated success in managing hotel operations, improving guest satisfaction, and driving financial results. Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue forecasting. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in the Baton Rouge area or similar market preferred.
