North Carolina, Durham/Raleigh - Hybrid Summary: Pearson is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for its clinical assessment wearable technology team. This individual will lead data science efforts in areas of model development and refinement, data collection, and exploratory data analysis. This position is geared towards individuals who appreciate working on new, novel technologies and enjoy collaborating with likeminded team members in emerging fields of wearable technology and clinical applications. Responsibilities: Work with our software and clinical teams to develop, test, and refine machine learning models. Deploy models to cloud. Explore and evaluate large data sets. Assist with the design of data collection exercises. Develop novel features and applications of technology. Solve complex problems. Ability to work independently with little to no guidance in some situations. Qualifications - Desired Experience: 3+ years of experience working as a data scientist. Strong understanding of model development. Fundamental knowledge of statistics. Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. Experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, SageMaker, or similar platforms. Experience in both Linux and Windows. Familiarity with agile development software lifecycle.
