Overview
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The School Director of Contracts & Club Support position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the areas of club safety and overall support services on school contracts and programs for all staff, members, and volunteers. Provides training, resources, and consultations to all club sites; ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and protocols; monitors all club sites, prepares reporting and analysis of all critical incidents. Directs and manages overall daily operations at units/branches/Clubs with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery, supervision and training of staff (direct and indirect reports), community relations. Advises and assists Directors in the areas of management, advisory council development, facility management, personnel issues and program development.
Responsibilities
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities) Establish programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes and in line with school & club contractual agreements and guidelines/ safety. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained. Support with staff training and overall preparing them for their onsite program offerings. Maintain close communication with Supervisor and track and store proper documentation of program, progress and concerns- incidents. Meet with parents as necessary for incidents and to develop behavioral plans. Develop and implement training opportunities for Club staff around program implementation, supervision, policies, procedures, safety, implementation, and training materials for youth development professionals. Develop and deliver safety-related training, in-person training at Clubs sites, conferences, and retreats and club training events. Provide direct technical assistance to Clubs via on-site assessments, emails, telephone, and online consultations. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities at Clubs and proactively support mitigation and training opportunities for improvement of sites and staff development. Advise, coach and train club sites and on safety and security measures, including, but not limited to premise security, child supervision, vehicular safety, and internet safety. Provide leadership and direction to Club Site Directors in the management of their designated Branches. Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes, with overall responsibility for cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of properties and equipment.
Strategic Planning Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests. Compile reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation. Ensure proper recruitment plan is in place to maintain ADA and enrollment throughout the school year and summer months under contract. Provide training, consultation and recommendations regarding background checks, incident management systems and other related systems. Provide timely support and assistance to national staff and Clubs managing critical safety needs.
Partnership Development Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, school administration and organizations.
Marketing and Public Relations Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community. Develops and maintains public relations, promoting and stimulating membership within the Club. Coordinates all publicity for programs and services within the Club and the community. Take pictures and submit ongoing program info to share with partners and stakeholders.
Facilities and Maintenance (School Sites) Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures. Ensure that facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained. Ensure facilities are welcoming and proper maintenance is happening.

Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel. Ensure a clean, healthy, safe, positive environment is created and maintained producing a sense of physical and emotional safety and minimizing risks in the Club's physical environment.
External:
Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club.
Qualifications
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Always practice and lead with kindness, respect and compassion. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with ability to provide effective training programs and safety related resources. Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff. Excellent skills in monitoring, follow-up, and great attention to detail. Ability to collect data and make decisions based on information presented and needs determined by assessment (by site or org). Ability to deal effectively with youth and families including discipline problems. Demonstrates passion for staff development and training implementation. Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks and projects at same time; adjust priorities based on need. Experience responding to crisis or supporting crisis management. Ability to work interdepartmentally to get results. Ability to influence others to make needed changes and make change recommendations to Directors utilizing the systems and evaluation metrics/ evaluation forms. Ability to think conceptually and develop innovative solutions. Possess expert knowledge in one or more areas of safety, risk management, security, property hazards, sports and aquatic safety, emergency response planning/procedures, crisis management, vehicular safety, bullying, and child abuse. Bachelor's degree in youth development, safety or risk management, or similar discipline. Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Able to climb stairs, lift items and perform active programming needs. Ability to perform any other position duties throughout the site.
Condition of Employment, Benefits and Minimum Qualifications : Must submit to a fingerprint/background check; submit a clean DMV H66 report form and First Aid/CPR verification. Must be professional and maintain Boys & Girls Clubs standards.
