Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wastewater & Drinking Water Operations Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for managing wastewater treatment facilities and the drinking water program. The ideal candidate will perform laboratory analysis, manage chemical storage areas, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of department activities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company procedures.
- Perform required laboratory analysis for wastewater treatment facilities in either Middleboro or Carver.
- Manage the Drinking Water Program for the Carver Receiving Station, including training, sampling, and report submission, under the guidance of the Chief Operator.
- Oversee the chemical storage areas, handling tasks such as ordering, receiving, inventory management, housekeeping, and general upkeep.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Support preventative maintenance and light corrective maintenance in line with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) and GMP audits, as directed by the EHS Specialist.
- Complete general duties such as forklift certification, batch mixing of chemicals, material procurement, equipment calibration, and data entry through Maximo software and OpsPac.
- Lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain a Massachusetts Grade 4M Wastewater Operator Certification.
- Must possess and maintain a Massachusetts Grade VSS Drinking Water Certification.
- Must maintain RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) Hazardous Waste/D.O.T. Certification.
