Summary Description
The Accounting Administrator will perform simple to intermediate clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and prepare basic accounting statements and financial reports.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1) Payables
• Review and record vendor invoices and other payment requests to appropriate general ledger account classifications.
• Maintain vendor records and track outstanding payable obligations by due date to take full advantage of attractive vendor payment terms.
• Issue and record checks, credit card & ACH/EFTs payments for merchandise purchases, supplies, services and customer accommodations.
2) Receivables & Cash Management
• Maintain vendor and credit customer records and track outstanding receivables to ensure full and timely receipt to the dealership.
• Prepare and record reconciliations of bank deposits and point of sale cash drawer receipts in currency, checks, credit cards and coupons.
3) Regulatory Compliance
• Comply with Department of Motor Vehicle regulations, file all required reports, and remit all payments on a timely basis.
• Comply with all taxing authority requirements, maintain necessary records for tax-exempt customers, complete requests received to confirm dealership tax-exempt purchases.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic.
• materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
Requirements
Qualifications & Job Requirements
• Accounts Payable experience
• Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
• High School diploma or equivalent required, bookkeeping training or experience preferred.
