Productive Resources(www.productiveresources.com)is seeking acandidateto be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Cleveland, Ohio. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Manufacturing Engineer II and be a part of a business assuring manufacturing processes to help meet customer demand through high quality and safety standards in a cost-effective manner. This position leverages ones manufacturing expertise to establish and improve production systems and business processes to operate at a more optimum level.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with theopportunityof professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Knowledgeable on current state manufacturing processes in more than one area of the business, visual management systems and applicable material flow systems.
- Use various ME methods/tools and technology to define high robust processes around safety, quality, and delivery (SOE/WI, 5s, PFEMA, TPM, OEE, Six Sigma, others as required).
- Develop process or factory layouts helping define the manufacturing space using CAD.
- Establish and implement larger scope changes to the manufacturing footprint to improve production capacity, make efficiency gains, improve quality or safety.
- Responsible for activities that affect different business metrics for a positive impact.
- Identify bottlenecks and act, individually or through teams, making process improvements targeting safety, quality, or cost reduction (efficiency).
- Implement engineering changes, making sure all aspects of the process are covered (materials, equipment, fixturing, training, safety, and quality standards) regardless of the size of change going to the shop floor.
- Provide input to design reviews on manufacturability and is a key team member during prototype builds to document process and design issues and provide feedback helping with solutions to those issues.
- Familiar with key environmental and safety policies and makes necessary changes in the factory to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Manage tasks and projects in a timely manner and delivery status updates periodically to various types of audiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent.
- 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing or facilities engineering.
- Diverse manufacturing experience and knowledge of current business and products.
- Hands-on CAD experience for layout and design work (AutoCAD, Revit, Creo, or others).
- Mechanically inclined with ability to read/create blueprints or working drawings.
- Successful hands-on safety project implementation.
- Proven layout development experience.
- Proven leadership skills in a team environment.
- Strong creativity and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) to a wide variety of audiences.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team oriented and can work well with others.
