Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food . Location Description: Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities: Position Summary : A Sanitation Tech is in charge of overall cleanliness of the lunchrooms, locker room, bathrooms, office hallways, and entryways throughout the facility. Using the supplies provided, they clean up and sanitize areas assigned and document all cleaning activities and perform other duties as assigned. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for overall cleanliness for lunchroom/ locker room bathrooms. Responsible for cleaning the front office hallway and plant entrance area. Responsible for handling Aramark uniforms, complaints, scheduling, wraps, towels and measurements. Fills the supply bins. Empties trash bins to compactor. Assists with maintaining overall cleanliness with the main plant, Logan View and Dryer 5. Orders and maintains the supply inventory (gloves, aprons, etc.) Documents all cleaning activities upon completion. Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS : LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections: Ability to work independently. Must have excellent communications skills to assist fellow employees. May need to be able to lift 75lbs occasionally.
