About the Job
Are you organized, proactive, and have a keen eye for details? Then the facility housekeeping technician position is for you. The YMCA facility housekeeping team sets the stage for exceptional service by keeping the Y facility clean and inviting.
Some of the exciting tasks you will do as a Facility Housekeeping Technician include but are not limited to:
- Keeps assigned area clean and clear for all YMCA participants
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping and mopping
- Assists in set-up for meetings and/or special events
- Monitor and maintain cleaning: storage rooms, offices, kitchen, bathrooms
- Assist with laundry functions as needed
- Respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies
Schedule:
- Sunday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions, and use
- Knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces
