A Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment in industrial settings. They are skilled in mechanical systems, including gears, belts, bearings, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Key Responsibilities:

Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime. Inspect and test machinery parts to identify defects or malfunctions. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Fabricate parts using welding, cutting, and machining techniques. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production personnel to prioritize tasks and coordinate maintenance schedules. Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements in millwrighting techniques. Requirements:

Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience. Journeyman certification as a Millwright (preferred). Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in welding, machining, or industrial maintenance. Experience with specific types of machinery or equipment relevant to the industry. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Work Environment:

The majority of work will be done outdoors. Travel may be required, ranging from 10-90% per year, based on project locations. Compensation:

This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $30.00. Per diem is paid when overnight stays are required, typically for projects outside of Sabula, IA.
