Under general supervision, the Aviation Security Analyst performs routine and special-emphasis security checks of terminal and gate boarding areas, cargo facilities, airport tenant leasehold, and perimeter fencing. This position responds to and investigates security incidents and access control alarms, issues admonishments for safety and security violations, ensures compliance with and enforces proper procedures, and works within the Security Operations Center (SOC) performing Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and access control system monitoring and surveillance.

  • Inspect and evaluate Airport and tenant facilities for compliance with Airport and Transportation Security Regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with and enforce proper procedures for Airport's Access Control System.
  • Work within Security Operations Center (SOC) performing CCTV and access control system monitoring and surveillance.
  • Respond to and investigate security breaches and violations.
  • Issue admonishments for safety and security violations.
  • Conduct routine and special-emphasis security checks of airport facilities.
  • Oversee security operations for construction projects and special events.
  • Provide regulatory information and guidance to Airport staff and tenants.
  • Respond to all security emergencies and crises.
  • Prepare informational and operational reports.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Airport Security Coordinator.
  • Develop training programs and standard operating procedures.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED or High School Proficiency Examination).

Experience: Two (2) years of safety and/or security operations experience, including six (6) months of recent aviation security experience.

License and Certification: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver license prior to employment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working Knowledge of CRF Part 1542
  • Working Knowledge of CCTV and security systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance: Candidates must undergo a criminal history record check and Security Threat Assessment.
