Senior Business Analyst (Remote Opportunity)

VetsEZ is seeking a remote Senior Business Analyst to be a part of a remote team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Business Analyst must have experience creating work breakdown structures and developing program schedules, as well as assigning software development team personnel to tasks. An ideal candidate will have experience engaging with business stakeholders, collecting, and evaluating business needs and processes.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team and engage in all aspects of SAFe Agile software development, primarily for planning and design.
• Identify and resolve project issues, analyze complex business problems, and determine IT solutions.
• Understand both Behavior-Driven and Test-Driven development.
• Collaborate with Developers and UX/UI designers to help translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
• Coordinate documentation updates, team communications, and conduct post-project evaluations.
• Define objectives and scope of business systems. Gather and analyze business data and user needs.
• Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client's business goals.
• Work closely with managers and end users to determine the best IT solutions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with different team members and stakeholders.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure project success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a technical discipline, or any other relevant discipline is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional analyst experience.
• Experience in data analytics and programming.
• Experience designing basic UX/UI with wireframes, with the ability to present wireframes to clients and explain the layout and functionality.
• ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA application experience.
• Experience conducting research and analysis, and experience with requirements elaboration and analysis.
• Experience teaching processes and tools to new users.
• Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tool suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio & Project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective documentation skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with SAFe/Agile.
• Experience with the VA or other Government agencies.
• Ability to obtain a government clearance.
