This position offers a unique opportunity to lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, and collaborate directly with customers to elevate the Goulds Pumps and ProShop brands globally.You’ll drive innovation by developing advanced hydraulic and mechanical designs, leading new product development from concept through final execution, and ensuring successful delivery of customer-specific solutions and strategic product launches. Your focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization will enhance product performance, boost margins, and contribute to global business growth.As a leader, you’ll oversee a talented team of engineers and designers, implement robust design standards, and ensure adherence to best practices and quality goals. Managing departmental budgets and New Product Development investments will also be key to your success.Essential ResponsibilitiesOriginal Equipment (OE) sales of $65m engineered VS pumps, $60m engineered OH/BB5 horizontal pumps, $90m engineered BB1/BB2/BB3 pumps, or [$___m] industrial pumpsExecute new product concept analyses to grow new orders.Justify, manage and execute new product development project to expand product portfolio using stage gate process.Justify, manage and execute new product development for custom-products for specific customer orders.Travel to global manufacturing sites and customer locations approximately 4 weeks per annum.Budget responsibility team expenses and NPD projects.Accountability for 2-6 employeesDirect the team’s activities to maintain high levels of design quality and on-time performance. Develop, maintain, and improve products to grow our business at minimum 2 x market average.Lead value engineering projects of existing products to reduce costs and improve margins.Develop maintain technical databases for pump performances and designs.Develop best practices for manufacture & design for product quality and cost effectiveness.Support the product knowledge transfer of new pump product lines to locations globallyDevelop technical resources and succession planTrain technical resources in pump engineering and provideConceive new pump designs to grow new business and conduct technical risk assessments to ensure quality outcomes for assigned products at all global manufacturing plantsDrive the development and implementation of best practices to create world class Engineering capability at Design Centers and at global sitesActively direct and support the recruitment of suitable candidates, both internally and externally, to grow the strength and depth of the Engineering teamPrepare and deliver of Sales/customer training programs and internal engineering/production training programsOversee all LOD, VA/VE, and NPD Projects for assigned pump products to verify design quality using Stage Gate process and support Project to achieve deliverable on-time performanceDrive best practices in design for manufacture & design to reduce costs of all assigned pump productsAssist with engineering talent development programs including Engineering Development Program, Graduate recruitment Program and InternshipsPosition RequirementsEducation: 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (minimum) Professional Engineer registration preferredExperience: Minimum 15 years’ experience in pump design & manufacture with internationally recognized pump OEMOther Skills/Knowledge:Pump hydraulic design.Rotating equipment mechanical design.Strong analytical skills.Strong design judgment.Experience in pump test, field service, and start-up.Strong leadership capabilitiesAbility to deliver technical trainingNew product development experienceInterpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of industry standardsAftermarket knowledgeEqual Pay Act StatementWe aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
