This role is the FP&A Lead for the Sports Properties Division. This role is responsible for overseeing the company's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis activities. The FP&A Director will work closely with the Sports Property CFO, corporate planning division, and other financial partners to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes, working closely with Sales Leadership to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Develop quarterly financial forecasts, comparing actuals against budget/forecast, and providing detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, such as new investments, cost-saving initiatives, and profitability assessments.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Sales Leaders to provide financial insights that guide strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, including performance summaries, key metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Financial Models & Tools: Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analysis, and financial forecasting tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial planning.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial planning processes, driving improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a FP&A manager, ensuring the professional development and success of the team.


Job Specifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely-related field from an accredited College or University. Masters degree or CPA is a plus.
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience in working with financial statements, budget and forecast preparation, financial analysis, and GAAP knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling tools, and ERP systems (experience with Adaptive and L65 is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify business drivers and turn financial data into actionable insights.
