The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth, and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence.As the FBM Manager for the Requirements and Verification (R&V) team, you will:• Lead the R&V community of practice across the FBM Portfolio of programs• Provide guidance to programs on R&V processes; document updates, deviations and waivers, and manage the change control process • Provide technical leadership and manage group resources to plan, develop, and execute R&V tasks• Lead team members to evolve, manage, and maintain technical baseline, ensure interface, integration, and verification planning, and execute plans to completion• Manage and maintain allocations and traceability for flow down of requirements to component level• Lead the DOORS Integrated Product Team and lead the effort to implement a model-based systems engineering requirements construct• Lead the Missile Performance Requirements team through modernization and sustainment efforts• Assist in developing impact assessments through What-If process in support of customer requests• Provide guidance and support to Subsystem and Component specification authors across program• Develop, maintain, and present metrics to inform management and customer on R&V management planning and execution progress• Support development and planning of tasks for IMS for additional phases of program lifecycle• Assist and provide inputs for contract proposals with Basis of Estimates (BOE)• Manage team resources and staffing forecasts for tracking and hiringThis is a coded leadership position; the Systems Engineer Manager will provide matrix and functional leader support to team members assigned to them. This role will manage and support employees, including assistance in development of personal, career, and technical objectives. This Systems Engineer Manager will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary environment, interfacing with project management, customers, and other technical organizations within the Navy customer.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or closely related field• 5+ years' experience in technical leadership role or formal technical management experience• 5+ years' experience in Missile or Space programs• Relevant experience in requirements, interfaces, verification, and integration• Full understanding of the interdependencies of the Systems Engineering “V”• DOORS requirements management database tool familiarity• Strong verbal and written communication skills to build effective relationships across organizations and disciplines (electrical, mechanical, thermal, software), and with customers• Demonstrated skills in team building and creating cohesive teams with entry-level technical talent• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearanceDesired Skills:• Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program experience and knowledge• Prior successful management experience• Positive FBM customer relationship• Experience leading major Systems Engineering reviews• Experience developing Basis of Estimate for a significant program effort• Prior Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience• Cameo experience• Demonstrated MBSE experience on a program• Full understanding of Requirement traceability both upwards and downwards• Demonstrated ability to create team cohesion across multiple organizations• Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives• Active Top Secret clearanceSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Top SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
