Senior Municipal Engineer

T&M Associates is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Municipal Engineer to join our growing Community and Land Development Market in NJ. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to balance remote work with in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal engineering, with a proven ability to manage and execute capital improvement projects for a variety of municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineering - Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for capital improvement projects (e.g., roadways, drainage, sewer, water, parks, and athletic fields).
- Project Management - Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, with the ability to independently handle small projects and coordinate with other team members.
- Field Inspections - Perform field inspections and assessments of municipal infrastructure, ensuring compliance with design standards and regulations.
- Site Plan Review - Review Planning & Zoning Board site plans and subdivisions, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Client Interaction - Collaborate with municipal clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in Municipal Engineering or related field. EIT certification required, PE license preferred.
- Fluency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
- Knowledge of roadway design elements, standards, and constructability methods.
- Proficiency in Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL) and Public Contracts Law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn.
