The Stop & Shop in-house creative team, is looking for a Social Content Creative Manager that will be responsible for taking Stop & Shop's social content creation to the next level. You will be responsible for overseeing two Social Media Content Creators and managing the development and execution of innovative social media content that drives engagement and growth across all organic and paid social channels. You will ensure that all social media content aligns with the brand's strategy, visual guidelines, and brand voice while fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
This Manager will have a sincere interest in food and an infectious passion for social media, both professionally and personally-someone who routinely taps into current trends, understand the nuances of content creation for different channels (e.g., TikTok and Instagram), and who knows how to build and engage an audience. Using proven talent and consistent strategic and conceptual thinking, they will communicate our brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking way across all social media platforms, supporting development and execution of social content.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and manage two Social Media Content Creators, providing guidance and support in content creation, strategy development, and execution.
• Lead the implementation of a comprehensive social media content strategy that aligns with the overall marketing objectives and brand identity.
• Feel comfortable being on camera as you represent Stop & Shop in an authentic and engaging way.
• Help create and oversee the creation of social media content including Instagram/TikTok videos, reels, stories, posts, and more, ensuring it is innovative, engaging, and platform-specific.
• Ensure all content is consistent with Stop & Shop's brand strategy, visual guidelines, and brand voice.
• Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the brand remains relevant and ahead of the curve.
• Identify and leverage viral trends, editing styles, and content types that can be adapted to fit the brand's strategy.
• Encourage the team to experiment with new formats and creative ideas to engage the audience.
• Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, producers, photographers, digital channel stakeholders, brand strategy, and project management teams to effectively meet project objectives, schedules, and deadlines.
• Ensure the timely execution of content requests based on monthly, weekly, and daily briefs from partners.
• Provide constructive feedback to the team to refine and improve content.
• Leverage data and insights to optimize and evolve creative to increase the impact of our messaging.
• Work closely with the Creative Director for creative alignment and approval.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across various departments and stakeholders.
Requirements:
• BA in Graphic Design, Photography, Media, Communications, or a similar degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience (5-9 years) in social media management, content creation, and strategy development.
• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in managing people, demonstrating leadership, decision-making and team-building skills.
• Strong online portfolio showcasing relevant social media content and campaigns.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with video editing software.
• Skilled in photography and video production using iPhone and other devices.
• Deep understanding of social media algorithms, hashtag strategy, and platform-specific best practices.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams and navigating creative and business partner dynamics.
• Experience working with creative briefs, marketing and branding concepts.
• Able to handle the stress of multiple high-pressure deadlines.
• Experience with Adobe AfterEffects is a plus.
• Local travel required.
• Agency experience is a plus.
• There is a requirement to work in our Quincy, MA office or Weymouth, MA studio at least 3 days per week.
The starting salary for this position is $120,960 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
