Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Chief Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Management and Utility department supporting a leading client in Pontiac. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment, and strong leadership skills.

What's the Job?
Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and management of Central Energy Plant process support equipment and site utilities. Lead and develop a team of Stationary Engineers to provide high-level service delivery to clients. Coordinate activities for the management of all site utilities and prepare management scorecard information. Conduct hiring interviews, oversee training, and ensure compliance with state licenses for all personnel. Monitor utility budgets and project plans, ensuring timely completion of all job responsibilities and reports.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 5 years of operation and maintenance experience, with 5-10 years in Facilities Management or Supervision. Strong knowledge of utilities: boilers, water chemistry, electricity, gas etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access). 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class Stationary Engineer License and 1st Class Refrigeration License required.
