Job Title: Engineer III – Environmental & Solid Waste Management

Job Summary Seeking an experienced Engineer with a strong background in environmental and solid waste management. You'll lead engineering and construction projects, manage regulatory interactions, and mentor junior staff to drive innovative waste management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversee engineering and construction at solid waste facilities, managing consultants, contractors, budgets, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Regulatory Liaison: Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, represent the organization in permits, hearings, and inspections.
• Capacity Planning: Develop landfill capacity projections and fill sequencing plans in collaboration with site managers.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
• Compliance & Innovation: Ensure site compliance with regulations and develop cost-effective engineering solutions for operational challenges.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in the environmental and solid waste industry.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong project management, in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Additional: Willingness to travel up to 50%, understanding of safety regulations and accounting processes.
