As a leading dental insurance carrier, the growth and ongoing effective management of Guardian’s network of over 140,000 dental providers is critical to the company’s success. Through direct ownership of many of the core functions and activities within the dental provider value chain, the Network Operations team sits at the heart of the Network organization and has a direct and significant impact on the strength of the relationships we build with our valued dentists.As the Head of Dental Network Operations, you will be responsible for a team of approximately 75 colleagues (US and India based) who operate across four primary areas; network management, credentialing, training, and technology. The primary purpose of the team is to provide a market-leading onboarding, credentialing and service experience for our in-network dentists through customer-centric and efficient delivery, while upholding the quality and accuracy of our provider directory to support a positive member-level experience and to maintain compliance with state laws and regulations. From an operational angle, the team is also responsible for day-to-day partner management and the processing of both inbound and outbound files to support our network rentals, swap and lease partnerships. Additional, non-operational responsibilities include the development and ongoing execution of our technology strategy, the creation and delivery of our internal network training programs spanning recruitment, retention and operations, the quality assurance process, and the operational excellence discipline.In the first 18-24 months in the role, you will be responsible for implementing new technology to modernize existing infrastructure and operational processes to vastly improve efficiency and customer experience. As such a consistent track record of leading through change and driving large-scale, complex projects on time will be essential.You willLead a large operational team spanning four primary domains and including both onshore and offshore colleagues.Be responsible for modernizing processes and infrastructure to increase processing accuracy, improve internal efficiency and strengthen the provider, member, and colleague experience.Lead effectively through change while continuing to drive efforts to strengthen the team culture in line with Guardian values and maintain strong team engagement.Partner with the reporting team to develop more robust and systematic operational reporting that provides a stronger, timely pulse on the health of the operation.Be comfortable analyzing, interpreting, and evoking the required changes to improve key operational metrics to support operational strategy.Have prior experience understanding and ensuring ongoing compliance with both new and existing regulatory requirements and build and maintain a strong partnership with the legal and compliance team. Support required regulatory activities as required.Own network technology strategy and execution. Act as the product manager for the network technology ecosystem.Continue to build out the network training and quality assurance function to increase consistency in approach.Play a key role on the network leadership team contributing exceptional partnership and collaboration skills and a different perspective on a range of topics that advance our broader organizational goals.Partner closely with other network leaders to ensure the execution of our overarching network strategy.You haveBachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.Prior Group Benefits or Medical insurance experience preferred.Consistent track record of exceptional performance, having delivered quantifiable impact on company revenue and profitability.A passion for excellence and willingness to overcome obstacles to achieve goals.Experience navigating change and building/maintaining a strong team culture.A track record of improving a customer-centric operation that optimally balances efficiency with effectiveness, preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop strategic recommendations and document them in PowerPoint.Ability to lead while adapting to changing business priorities and environments.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and to respond to business partners in a timely manner.Strong executive presence and public speaking skills. High comfort level with presenting to senior leaders.Proven record of collaborating cross functionally to solve business problems and complete the broader organizational strategy.LocationThis is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in the office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office.Salary Range:$129,500.00 - $212,750.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
