JOB DESCRIPTION:
Senior Technical Specialist, Instrumentation also provides coaching, training, support and mentorship for laboratory employees for the different laboratory technologies.
• To perform preventative maintenance procedures of laboratory equipment.
• To troubleshoot and repair laboratory equipment.
• Person in charge of the inventory of consumables and parts of the laboratory equipment.
• Person responsible for scheduling laboratory equipment maintenance, tuning, calibration and repair.
• To perform daily setup of laboratory equipment.
• Coaching, training, and mentorship for laboratory employees.
• Provide technical expertise as part of event resolution.
• To conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GXPs, and observe all company guidelines and policies.
• Respecting Environmental, Health and Safety standards in terms of personal protection, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures.
• To participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
• To participate and perform duties such as writing SOP and reviewing IQ/OQ protocols. To review and approve paperwork if needed;
• University Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Analytical Chemistry or equivalent based on experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience. Must possess extensive hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and techniques such as:
• Flow Cytometry;
• Mass Spectrometry;
• Elisa; and/or
• Cell Culture
• Must have understanding of the general SOPs applicable to instrumentation and in depth knowledge of FDA-GLP.
