Role Overview

The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for all field and terminal location hiring. The Recruiter will effectively research and recommend competent talent for open positions, with a focus on, but not limited to, Production roles within Field and Depot sites. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates that fit the company culture.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely identification, screening, and placement of qualified candidates for a wide range of production-level roles, including skilled trades such as mechanics, technicians, tank washers, and welders, to meet operational staffing needs.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft a more detailed and accurate job description and hiring criteria for job posting.
  • Identify and evaluate the best methods of recruiting and posting job advertisements using multiple channels for Production roles.
  • Actively source, prescreen candidates, interview, and present candidates to hiring managers.
  • Work with hiring manager(s) post-interview to evaluate candidates and identify top candidates.
  • Become a subject matter expert in search strategy, evaluation criteria, and culture-fit analysis for efficiently identifying top talent across all regions and Field/Depot locations.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional and site leadership as their trusted recruiting liaison, facilitating a seamless hiring process through all hiring resources, internal and external.
  • Establish partnerships with external resources, such as Trade Schools, Industry and Community Partnerships, Veteran Resource Groups, and Career Placement Services for generating additional qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and other human resource staff during offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates and other pertinent detail. Extends formal job offers.
  • Administer the pre-employment screening process.
  • Administer, monitor, coordinate, maintain and ensure compliance with areas that may include affirmative action, anti-discrimination, as well as all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the onboarding process, including an introduction to the organization and completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related area preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding.
  • Experience supporting high-volume requisitions and hiring needs.
  • Experience supporting hiring teams in an Industrial field preferred.
  • Must have experience in interviewing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications.
  • Intermediate skills in Google tools, MS Office suite, specifically, Word, and Excel.
  • Skilled with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and Industry trade partners
