Quality Engineer III
Start: ASAP
Location: Everett, WA - 4 days onsite / 1 remote
Contract Length: 6 months to start
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Summary:
Administer an effective manufacturing quality improvement process to ensure our clients products are compliant with all design requirements, company policies, federal regulations and customer standards.
The Quality Engineer will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers to accomplish goals and implement solutions.
Additionally, the Quality Engineer will assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:
• Participate in new Program activities to provide support in assuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to and Customer and Regulatory Requirements are accounted for
• Provide MRB support for nonconforming material, including containment activities, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
• Analyze nonconformance data, both from internal and external sources to determine areas for improvement and pursue root cause corrective action as needed. Perform follow-up activities to ensure effectiveness of actions taken
• Act as facilitator and perform training in the proper use of root cause and corrective action analysis tools such as Ishikawa diagram, 5 Whys, 8D or similar
• Participate as an auditor in COMPANY Internal Audit program, as assigned
• Perform reporting to top management and Customers, as needed, to communicate Quality Performance, status of open corrective actions and ongoing improvement efforts
• Other duties as directed by the QA Manager
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, preferably Manufacturing or Mechanical, or similar technical field (i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Technology). A Bachelor’s degree in any field and related experience is acceptable.
• In lieu of a degree, 4-6 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar
Qualifications:
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering blueprints, and/or obtain dimensional information from modeling software programs
• Working knowledge of quality inspection tools and processes
• Aerospace industry experience
• AS9100 Knowledge
• Auditing experience
Minimum Computer Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite required, including MS Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Experience with analytical software such as Power BI, Minitab highly desirable.
Other Desired Qualifications:
• ASQ-CQE/CQA certification
• Project management experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups including suppliers, customers and associates, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to provide concise summaries of complex issues, which may include technical data, to a diverse audience
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
