Job Description
For our busy dental practice, we’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and detail oriented dental assistant. You’ll assist with patient preparation, prepare and sterilize instruments, room setup, support our dentist in a wide range of procedures, assist with patient care, ensure a clean and organized treatment environment, and manage patient records. You should be proficient in taking dental x-rays and provide excellent patient care to succeed in this position. Experience with dental implant surgeries and intraoral scanning is encouraged.
Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly.

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:Welcome patients to the dental practice
Prepare patients for treatment or exams, ensuring their comfort
Organize and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Assist the dentist through dental surgeries
Intraoral scanning
Fabricating temporary crowns
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payments
When necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies
Making sure medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recorded
Maintain dental equipment inventory and order dental supplies
Proven experience as a dental assistant (3 years encouraged)
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Experience with dental implant surgeries
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing and cement clean up
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be well-organized and reliable
High school diploma
Graduate of a dental assistant school is preferred
