Minimum years of experience: 2 years Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Ratios: ICU: RN: Day & Night - 1:3; based on acuity, Tech: Day & Night - 1:10; Med/Tele: RN: Day & Night - 1:6; based on acuity, Tech: Day & Night - 1:10 Required Certifications: ICU: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Med Tele: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills required: ICU: Critical care drips, cardiac/insulin drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, Vent management, epidural management, invasive line management, ostomy, general drains, trach management (preferred), wound care; Med/Tele: Tele RN with ACLS, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV starts, central line management, PCA pumps, drains, ostomies, IV ABX, blood products, wound care, chest tubes, epidural management Schedule Information

Diagnoses include, but not limited to: ICU: DKA – insulin drips; Cardiac dysrhythmias on Cardiac drips, Respiratory Failure (ventilators, Bipap, HFNC), post-op hemicolectomies (24-48 hr observation), any complex abdominal surgeries, acute or declining COVID+, GI Bleeds, Sepsis, Complicated Post-operative Patients, ETOH, IVDA, CVAs – patients in need of intervention are transferred; Trauma, Neuro, major cardiothoracic – will typically be stabilized and transferred out Med/Tele: COPD, PNA, COVID, CHF, Sepsis, DVT, PE, AKI, uncontrolled DM, ETOH, IVDA, post-op total joints, CVA, patients awaiting placement, 1:1 for suicidal ideation or 1:1 dementia/aggression patients; Surgical patients include: total joints, abdominal, hysterectomy, colorectal, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, podiatry Support on the Unit: Charge nurse: full patient assignment, Phlebotomy? Will draw peripheral labs only, IV/VAT Team? No – will call Anesthesia team as needed for line placement, RT, 24/7 – will manage Vents, Bipap and HFNC, Hospitalist during the day 0700-1930, 1900-0700: Doc in a box – after 7pm will utilize Eagle Health via Zoom call, ED physician, 24/7 in house, Anesthesiologist on call 24/7 (minutes away) Charting System: Cerner, Alaris, Pyxis Floating: ICU: Will be required to take Med Surg patients, up to 1:6 ratio, as needed, Possibility to float to other areas as a helping hand or to take Med Surg patients, Birth Center for post-op surgical, May be asked to administer monoclonal antibody injections to COVID+ patients – training provided Med/Tele: Helping hands or medical surgical patients in other areas Additional Details
