Summary You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the SE & ALRE Group, Mission Operations & Integration Department, Digital Engineering Division, Cyber Branch of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Responsibilities You will administer information assurance (IA) programs to support the operation of information technology (IT) networks or infrastructures. You will develop action plans or milestones to achieve information assurance (IA) program objectives. You will perform life cycle maintenance planning and analysis of information technology (IT) systems for optimal performance. You will monitor operating systems to ensure functionality, performance, and availability of services. You will brief managers on the planning, design, and development of information technology (IT) systems throughout an organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Planning, coordinating, managing and directing the execution of certification and accreditation (C&A), and IA processes that directly support NAVAIR's enterprise systems; 2) Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating to ensure accreditation of systems; identifying, tracking and monitoring IA security deficiencies; assisting with the implementation of risk management strategies; and contributing expertise in formulating a successful software/system assurance program; 3) Providing expert support to customers for IA program technical matters, ensuring DoD, Navy and NAVAIR policy is appropriately tailored and included in technical requirements, program and contractual documents and is consulted with in making technical and programmatic decisions; 4) Anticipating technical issues that could lead to information assurance problems and taking appropriate action and recommending project adjustment or redirection as deemed necessary to achieve satisfactory and result; 5) Developing new hypotheses, designs, or analytical techniques for complex subject matter utilizing critical judgment and systems scientific techniques; 6) Participating in IA projects, conferences and meetings and professional organizations for the purpose of receiving, evaluating and disseminating project results and technical information.
