The Building Services Leader (3rd shift) is responsible for supervising and training staff in a building(s) to ensure that work is completed in a timely and effective manner, assists as needed in completion of work assignments, and scheduling work within assigned building(s) with a clear understanding of building utilization and cleaning needs.

The Building Services Leader (3rd shift) issues work orders in School Dude, and is directly responsible for the quality of work completed by the Building Services staff in the building(s). They will maintain adequate inventory of supplies and requisitions materials on a monthly basis, and will dispense and monitor use of cleaning supplies.

The Building Services Leader (3rd shift) will act as a liaison with residence hall director if a leader in a residential building, and a liaison with department staff if a leader in an academic building. They will routinely inspect work areas of her/his team to ensure appropriate cleanliness is maintained at all times. This position will assign work schedules within building(s), coordinates scheduling overtime for employees in the building, functions as working supervisor, and fills in for absent building attendants within own building.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively perform all heavy building attendant duties.
  • Climb ladders to reach high places.
  • Move heavy furniture.
  • Lift heavy boxes (50 - 75 pounds).
  • Operate heavy cleaning equipment and mop extensive areas.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as required within the department.
  • Possess organizational skills and ability to work well with others.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Classroom or seminar training in supervisory skills.
  • Five (5) years related work experience.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience.

Schedule

40 Hours/ 12 Months/ Sunday - Thursday/ 11:00PM - 7:30AM
