Primary Duties
1. Supports the Manager Investor Relations in building relationships with investors and analysts and telling the company's story. Responds to inquiries under supervision. Develops and maintains a robust understanding of key business drivers and metrics. Participates in the organization and preparation of senior leaders for investor engagement activities.
2. Gathers financial data and participates in the preparation of: quarterly earnings release, analyst conference presentations, fact sheets, press releases, Q&A responses, financial back-up documents, post-event reporting, and other ad hoc analytical requests. Works to find efficiencies in the preparation of these items.
3. Works closely with others throughout the organization to achieve the objectives of the department. Prepares deep dives, presentations, and reports for senior leadership, including briefing sheets and product primers, analyst research, investor interactions and Wall Street consensus. Drafts reports on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation for inclusion in the quarterly Board Book.
4. Coordinates ESG meetings with the investment community. Works with other ESG groups in the organization to maintain ESG Q&A. Performs ongoing monitoring of external ESG ratings/information within the investment community to ensure accuracy.
5. Organize logistics of investor meetings, conferences, and earnings calls.
6. Maintains investor contact databases and tracks investor interactions.
7. Demonstrates an understanding of the capital markets and the roles of the buy-side and sell-side analysts. Collects and analyzes sell-side estimates and maintains consensus models.
8. Prepares the monthly reporting of outstanding common stock of the company and maintaining shareholder profile data and support. Coordinates with transfer agent, Accounting and the Corporate Secretary.
9. Monitors and drafts updates for the Investor Relations section of the company's website to ensure the accuracy of information presented. Performs ongoing monitoring of peer group companies' presentations, financial reporting, disclosures, and websites to support the department.
10. Assists treasury department as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and 4 years of experience in investor relations or corporate finance disciplines.
CPA, or CFA designation preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at all levels on matters of a technical and/or complex nature. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills to act as a company representative with shareholders and the investment community. Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to review and prepare moderately complex financial and/or accounting methods.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics including ability to use Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment. Occasional long, irregular hours and travel.
