Embedded SW Engineer (Aerospace)

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace) Location: Los Angeles, California, USA - Onsite About: A senior embedded SW engineer who has worked on full cycle SW development for electronics equipment such as VFMDs (Variable Frequency Motor Drives) for vacuum generators and air compressors (ACIM/BLDC), AC/DC Power Converters (3-Φ), 28V DC Valve Controllers, and W&W System Controllers for commercial aerospace industry. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or computer engineering with 8+ years of software design experience or Master’s Degree in electrical or computer engineering with 6 + years of software design experience or PhD Degree in electrical or computer engineering with 3+ years of software design experience Key Responsibilities: Experience in aerospace regulations such as RTCA/DO-160/D0-178 and RTCA/DO-254 guidelines Experience in using design/simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink etc., Programming skills for developing firmware on TMS320F28XX DSP, PIC16XX, MC68XXX or X86 DSPs/Microcontrollers Should have done requirements management and allocation for atleast 2 projects Should have architected an embedded SW solution Should have done reliability and impact analysis Should have written tests cases and executed test cases Should have been involved with documentation like SwRS, design documents and test reports Work with suppliers to review control software design. Lead and guide a SW development team C/C++, VHDL/Verilog and/or scripting languages such as Perl/Python or Power Shell Design knowledge of CAN, ARIN429, I2C, SPI, RS232 software modules Programming skills in LabVIEW Knowledge and understanding of active rectifiers, PFC, inverter and motor control software design. Should have worked on developing control algorithms for any motor or actuators.
