The Role:
As the Complex Director of Group Sales, you will:
· Oversee Group Sales Efforts: Lead, coach, and mentor a dynamic sales team, ensuring alignment with Pyramid’s and Marriott’s strategies.
· Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Tailor group sales initiatives to maximize revenue and market share for both properties.
· Drive Key Market Growth: Oversee strategies in key verticals and segments, ensuring the hotels are
positioned as leaders in the Chicago market.
· Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations to align group sales strategies with property goals.
· Deliver Results: Leverage Marriott tools (CI/TY experience preferred) to analyze data, track
performance, and exceed revenue targets.

Who You Are:
· A seasoned group sales leader with Marriott brand experience, proven success managing teams and delivering results in a multi-property or complex environment.
· Experienced in strategic market development, with a track record of growing group sales in key verticals.
· An inspiring leader who thrives on mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and building a culture of excellence.
· Skilled in leveraging Marriott tools and systems, such as CI/TY, to optimize team performance and revenue growth.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is commonly required.
A Master’s degree or additional certifications in hospitality, sales, or revenue management is preferred but not mandatory.
7–10 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing roles.
At least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role, preferably in a multi-property or large-scale hotel environment.
Proven experience working with Marriott’s brand portfolio.
Experience working in the Chicago market or another competitive urban market is often preferred due to its unique characteristics.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 annually. based on qualifications and experience.
