Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with expertise in building data engineering pipelines across on-premise and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ELT/ETL tools, and coding in Python, PySpark, and SQL. This role involves streamlining data sourcing, ensuring governance, and collaborating with data and analytics teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
•Understand business requirements, system designs, security applications, and guidelines.
•Collaborate with SMEs to analyze business process flows, functional requirements, and existing system challenges.
•Streamline data sourcing and organization from diverse data sources using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Spark.
•Support data curation processes by feeding the data catalog and knowledge bases.
•Develop data tools for analytics and data science teams to optimize data products.
•Enhance the functionality of data systems through collaboration with analytics experts.
•Communicate data stories using advanced statistical analysis, visualization tools, and presentations.
•Maintain technical, analytical, and business documentation for all data efforts.
•Engage in hands-on development while collaborating with onsite and offsite teams.
Required Qualifications
•12+ years of experience in building data engineering pipelines on on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
•5+ years of experience in data warehousing and data lake techniques in cloud environments.
•Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and automation processes.
•Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL tools such as dbt, Airflow, Cribl, Glue, FiveTran, and AirByte.
•Expertise in capturing incremental data changes, streaming ingestion, and stream processing.
•Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
•Knowledge of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and software concepts.
•Familiarity with IT Asset Management, ITIL, and ITSM practices.
•Experience with Data Vault (ODS) Modeling and Dimensional Data Modeling.
