Aegis Worldwide Maintenance Manager Direct Hire (Day Shift) Dallas/Fort Worth

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a plastics manufacturer in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area who is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead their maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery, equipment, and systems, ensuring smooth production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in the plastics manufacturing industry (injection molding and blow molding machinery), with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Maintenance Team:

Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support. Ensure proper staffing levels to meet production demands. Equipment Maintenance & Repair:

Oversee the preventative maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and emergency repair of all manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines, conveyors, and other specialized machinery. Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the team and across the plant. Budget & Cost Management:

Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring effective cost control. Identify areas for cost savings, such as optimizing energy usage, sourcing materials at competitive prices, or improving system efficiency. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:

Quickly diagnose equipment issues and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime and production losses. Inventory Management:

Oversee the maintenance parts and supplies inventory, ensuring that critical parts are always available to avoid operational delays. Continuous Improvement:

Implement best practices in maintenance processes and equipment reliability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase machine uptime and efficiency. Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized services, equipment repair, and parts procurement. Negotiate contracts and ensure high-quality service delivery. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades. Generate reports on downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment performance. Compliance & Audits:

Ensure all maintenance practices are in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and participate in regular audits and inspections.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience in plastics manufacturing (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding) is highly preferred. Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes and equipment. Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under pressure while maintaining production timelines. Leadership:

Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors.
