We're looking to fill an open AE role on our sales team with an experienced candidate who already knows how to "speak fleet." The right AE should have experience with selling to fleets or governments, and ideally both.
At RTA, SDRs partially fill your calendar with appointments, and the AE's primary job is to develop relationships, but the right AE won't just sit there and wait for things to happen; they will do whatever it takes to make things happen. To achieve goals, work will be about 75% scheduled demos and 25% outbound work. For the right humble, hungry, and smart salesperson it will be a perfect role at a great company. RTA develops from within and as an AE you will continue to receive coaching and mentoring to help prepare you for success next year and beyond.

What We're Looking For
Someone who:
Has at least two years of fleet, government, or FMIS sales experience (preferably more) and knows how to "speak fleet." Has been a top AE before and who is ready to be a top AE for RTA. Will hold themselves and others accountable while being emotionally intelligent and humble. Will passionately care about fleet professionals and the jobs they do. Our clients are government fleet managers, parts clerks, automotive technicians, and they maintain everything from squad cars to school buses so that everyone comes home safely at the end of the day. Will confidently own the AE role, while seeking collaboration and buy in from the rest of the sales organization. Fully embraces team health and eliminating the "5 dysfunctions of a team" (Patrick Lencioni). Can pivot quickly when needed and maintain a positive attitude. Is willing to lift boxes, clean floors, and hold doors if that's what it takes to get something done. Loves to read, learn, grow, and stretch themselves. Extra points if you've read Gap Selling, The Challenger Sale, or Never Split the Difference. Thinks of themselves less, while not thinking less of themselves. Constantly looks for more: more to learn, more to do, and more opportunity. Has experience selling, cold calling, writing emails, doing LinkedIn posts, and other account-based marketing tactics. Key Results Areas (aka the Job Outcomes)
Effort - Meetings, Meetings, and more Meetings; Follow-Up, Calls, Emails, LinkedIn DMs, etc. Results - Closed Won Sales. Goal is driving 66K in new ARR per month. The crazy part is that's only about 2 deals a month (average ARR is 30K). Consistency - Bonus commissions for consistent effort and results over a 4-month period. No Quit - Accelerators for overachieving expectations each trimester. Detailed Duties List:
Perform demos of RTA Fleet Maintenance Software to Government, Waste, Schools, Transit, and Transportation fleets to help them see how RTA can help them be successful. Close deals and help navigate the transition between prospect to customer. Work with customers for the first 13-months of their life cycle to help facilitate upgrades, expansion, and renewals at the end of year 1 and ensure a great first year. Hone your craft, study best practices, and review demos for coaching and ensuring that you are the best at what you do. Call on old leads and opportunities where needed to help supplement your demos on your calendar with new opportunities. Leverage social selling and account-based management techniques to find new prospects. Use Hubspot, Gong,ai, Seamless.ai and other tools provided to generate and manage a pipeline of deals.

Base salary for the role is between $70k and $80k, based on experience, plus commissions (Typically 160K OTE). This is a full-time, hybrid role (WFH available on Tues/Thurs) unless you aren't in the greater Phoenix-area, then it would be a fully remote role with some travel.

We offer a hybrid working environment (3-days) a week for employees who are within an hour of the office. For folks who live farther away or out-of-state, we offer a fully remote work environment with some occasional travel for meetings and events (ie 2-3 tradeshows and 2-3 visits to headquarters throughout the year).
