About the Role
The
Lifecycle Services Business Development Manager
is a customer-facing role dedicated to a specific subset of Rockwell Automation's portfolio, with a focus on accelerating performance in strategically important areas. This position involves managing the portfolio, go-to-market strategy, and partner ecosystem for key initiatives. The role is responsible for attracting new customers and expanding existing relationships by defining and implementing a commercial process across the company. It supports collaborative sales efforts to grow assigned product lines, specialized solutions, or initiatives. As the liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor, this role provides marketing and commercial leadership, driving sales growth and supporting the Commercial plan for the Services business.
What You'll Do Become proficient in Rockwell's Lifecycle Services and complementary products using provided resources and contacts. Develop a working knowledge of Rockwell's business model and its competitors. Share best practice insights with customers, the sales team, and fellow specialists. Serve as a domain expert in the solution focus area and associated industries. Understand typical buyers, users, influencers, and their unique business drivers. Communicate how the Rockwell Automation portfolio offers value-added solutions. Maximize Rockwell Automation, Distributor, and Partner sales within the assigned geography and solution area. Support a specific range of offerings; manage funnel, leads, opportunities, win rates, and key opportunities. Handle profit and loss management for the associated business. Facilitate communication between Rockwell Automation, the Turtle sales team, Specialists, and Partners. Adapt business plans based on market, industry, and growth priorities. Execute campaigns, commercial programs, events, and marketing activities according to business plans. Pursue continuous development of commercial and technical skills. Define the end-to-end commercial process for the solution area, including digital marketing, inside/outside sales, specialists, and customer success. Participate in target account and strategy planning to identify and progress qualified opportunities. Identify critical delivery and technology partner requirements and map solutions based on industry and application needs. Collaborate with Rockwell Automation, Distributor services, Technology Partners, and Systems Integrators. Manage relationships, objectives, targets, and campaigns with key partners. Maintain regular communication cadence (monthly or quarterly) with partners. What You'll Bring
4-year degree or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial Automation, IT or Software fields Self-motivated and Self-managed Ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes Exposure to Industrial IT, Cybersecurity, Analytics and IIoT Platforms, Industrial Control Systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motor control, motion control (Rockwell Automation or comparable platforms) Outcome based selling experience with understanding of industrial business drivers Market development and program execution experience Deep understanding of Services and Automation portfolio What We Offer
