GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Join our dynamic team as a Field Sales Executive, where you will drive new business opportunities through effective prospecting, strategic cold-calling, and successful closing techniques. In this role, you will manage and expand a defined territory of accounts by engaging in phone sales, customer visits, relationship management, and customer retention strategies.
CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify and analyze potential markets and accounts by studying industry trends and customer needs; compile lists of key target accounts and examine opportunities using a solution selling approach.
Expand your assigned territory by developing compelling proposals that showcase the features and benefits of our products, demonstrating the A.J. Weller value to current and prospective customers.
Build and nurture strong business relationships with both existing and potential customers within your territory to drive new business growth.
Initiate and maintain the sales process through proactive cold-calling, building rapport, qualifying leads, and enhancing existing accounts within your assigned territory.
Uphold the outstanding reputation of our company by prioritizing customer satisfaction, treating colleagues with respect, responding promptly to customer needs, and conducting business with integrity.
Effectively manage your territory by addressing customer concerns with solution-oriented sales strategies; visit key accounts regularly and engage with decision-makers to maintain and grow relationships.
Provide clear, consistent, and accurate communication internally and externally.
Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and innovations to enhance your knowledge of our product solutions.
Travel to clients for in-person meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years of relevant sales experience and at least a high school diploma; a post-secondary degree is preferred. An entrepreneurial spirit and service-first mentality are crucial. You should have a proven ability to take initiative and solve problems with a consultative approach. Strong mechanical aptitude is essential, and familiarity with reading tape measures and technical drawings is a plus. You must be results-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient reporting skills, and great attention to detail are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contact management software is necessary as well as a valid driver's license. Travel to client meetings is expected.
