Position Title: Cyber Threat Analyst III Location: Morrisville,NC(with potential for annual extension) Contract Position Overview The Cyber Threat Analyst III identifies and assesses the capabilities and activities of cybercriminals or foreign intelligence entities. The role involves producing findings to support law enforcement and counterintelligence investigations or activities. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement analytic approaches to detect fraudulent transactions and cybersecurity threats. Analyze large volumes of data from disparate sources to uncover cybersecurity threats and fraud schemes. Work with Databricks to develop analytic solutions using Python, SQL, and R. Interpret, visualize, and report on complex data to stakeholders at all levels. Respond to ad hoc requests to investigate potential cybersecurity concerns. Collect, aggregate, and analyze new data sources to reduce delivery time for analytical insights. Highlight and analyze gaps in USPS systems and recommend remediation solutions to deter cybersecurity threats and fraud. Build supervised and unsupervised AI/ML models to identify complex patterns in data. Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards using tools like Databricks, Splunk, and PowerBI. Create and manage ETL pipelines in Databricks for efficient data analysis. Collaborate across business units to understand fraud schemes, identify relevant data, and share insights. Train others on data products, fraud schemes, and analytic solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications 6+ years of analytic experience, including a minimum of 3 years in cyber analytics. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and tools like Databricks, Splunk, and Oracle. Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and threats. Familiarity with AI/ML approaches for fraud detection and data pattern analysis. Experience developing reports and dashboards to convey analytical insights effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both oral and written. Educational Requirements Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications (One or more required): CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE Experience Level 57 years of experience in security operations and incident response. Additional Provisions Must pass a client-mandated clearance process, including drug screening, criminal history check, and credit check. Clearance process may include an interim clearance, with continuation dependent on receiving sensitive clearance. All candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident Green Card holders. Cannot have more than six months of travel outside the U.S. in the last five years (Military service excluded). Dress code: Business casual.
