Summary of Position/Purpose: The eBusiness Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and success of the organization's digital business initiatives, primarily through eCommerce and punchout. This customer-facing role involves collaborating with sales and marketing to identify and target new punchout customers, lead punchout integrations with buyers' procurement systems and more. In addition, the role requires advocating for eCommerce/punchout adoption and training internal teams, including customer service, inside sales and outside sales. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities: Drive Commercial Results: Partner with the sales team to actively identify new and existing customers who are strong candidates for punchout integrations. Provide technical expertise during customer discussions to support sales initiatives. Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute internal and external campaigns promoting punchout capabilities, new eCommerce functionality and more. Collaborate on educational materials, webinars, and digital content to showcase punchout and eCommerce functionality and benefits to target audiences.
Technical Integration & Support (for punchout) Collaborate with customers, the in-house development team, and third-party punchout providers to successfully onboard customers to our punchout program. Lead technical integrations with buyers' procurement systems, including testing and troubleshooting. Coordinate ongoing account administration tasks in partnership with our in-house customer service team. Serve as the primary contact for punchout and portal integrations Work with customers to resolve integration issues. Escalate enhancement requests to the development team when necessary.
Customer Support/Sales Team Enablement Evangelize the benefits of eCommerce and punchout solutions across internal teams, fostering a culture of digital adoption and excellence. Develop and deliver training programs for customer support teams and sales teams to improve their understanding of eCommerce websites and punchout program.
Reporting & Analysis: Maintain reports of upcoming, ongoing and completed punchout integrations. Report on punchout business performance with existing and new accounts. Keep accurate records of punchout targets.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in an eProcurement, eCommerce or eBusiness role Experience with supplier/buyer procurement systems such as Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle, or Exostar. Excellent communication and training delivery abilities, with a focus on simplifying complex concepts for non-technical teams. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of driving digital transformation. Working knowledge of technical document types including XML, OCI, cXML, etc. Comfortable working in a customer-facing role and presenting to buyers. Experience in Scrum or Agile environments is a plus. Procurement system certifications (e.g., Ariba) are a bonus. Prior experience working on either the supplier or buyer side in a comparable role. This role requires confidence, independence, and the ability to operate independently.
