Product Owner

Insight Global is seeking several Product Owners to support our federal client remotely on a newly awarded program. As part of the product team, you will work to achieve program objectives, sometimes acting as the Scrum Master. You'll collaborate with the RTE to plan releases and sprints and manage the Product Backlog. Performing business and systems analysis for user stories and refining the product backlog based on your findings is essential. You'll evaluate systems for integration, recommend improvements, and document business needs, use cases, and workflow diagrams. Facilitating meetings between stakeholders, developers, and product owners is a key part of the role. You'll support testing activities, report defects using tools like JIRA, monitor progress, manage risks, and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders. Additionally, you'll provide post-implementation support and collaborate with the training team.
A successful individual on this team will have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and other contractors are key responsibilities as well. Quarterly visits to Elkridge, MD may be required for project planning!
Compensation: $49hr to $75hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment (starting 1/1/2025) and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience • Bachelors Degree Required (Computer Science, related major or other technical discipline) • 9+ years in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. architecture, process re-engineering, development, verification) • QuickSite Reporting Tool Experience • 3+ years of experience working on teams in an Agile SAFe development environment • 2+ years supporting CMS Medicare or Medicaid programs • Analysis of user stories for impacts to security and 508 compliance • Collaborating in a multiple contractor environment
Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written. Includes the ability to effectively communicate complex information to audiences with varying technical and system backgrounds and at multiple organizational levels
Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Supporting client stakeholders with varying levels of agile experience • Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, MS Word, and MS Excel
