System One is currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for an industry-leading client in the Ford City, PA area.
Job Summary:
The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all machinery and equipment used in the production process.
The role requires working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections on machines and equipment according to a scheduled plan to prevent malfunctions and downtime.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components of production machines.
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify the root cause of machine malfunctions and implement immediate corrective actions to minimize production interruptions.
Installation and Setup: Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment, machinery, and tools.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Parts Management: Order and replace worn or defective parts. Maintain a system for tracking spare parts and ensuring adequate stock.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed following established safety protocols, company policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to ensure machines are set up for optimal production and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance) are preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in machine maintenance, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and pumps.
Basic understanding of electrical circuits, PLCs, and automation systems.
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CNC / automated machinery
Certification in electrical maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field.
