Are you passionate about creating memorable networking experiences that drive meaningful connections and business growth? New Western is seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of REI on Tap, our signature networking event series.
About the Role: The Business Development Event Manager will transform REI on Tap into a cornerstone of New Western's business development strategy. This series of informal networking events provides real estate professionals with a relaxed, no-pressure environment to connect, share insights, and explore collaboration opportunities-all while enjoying great food and drinks at local hotspots.
In this role, you'll combine your event planning expertise with strategic business engagement to inspire and empower our 39 local offices to leverage these events as powerful tools for relationship-building and lead generation.
As the Business Development Events Manager You Will:
- Oversee the planning and execution of REI on Tap events for each of New Western's 39 markets, collaborating with General Managers (GMs) to select optimal dates, venues (breweries, restaurants, etc.), and sponsors.
- Manage event logistics, including venue booking, Eventbrite page creation, and coordinating with the email marketing team to send invitations.
- Develop engaging marketing materials, including social media graphics and promotional content tailored to each event.
- Secure and manage sponsorships, ensuring sponsor alignment with event goals and proper marketing representation.
- Employee Engagement & Training.
- Partner with GMs to integrate REI on Tap events into each office's business development strategy.
- Train and motivate team members to promote events, personally invite leads, and maximize attendance.
- Conduct on-site visits to mentor and inspire teams to execute events effectively.
- Prepare event staff through training calls focused on event check-in procedures and attendee engagement strategies.
- Ensure REI on Tap events deliver an exceptional experience, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and business development.
- Guide GMs in conducting after-action reviews to identify successes and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze event attendance and feedback data to provide actionable insights and enhance future events.
- Proven experience in event planning, business development, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Willingness to travel nationwide to support events and provide on-site guidance.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with tools like Eventbrite and CRM platforms.
