As a Facilities Engineer at Coterra, you will play a crucial role in overseeing engineering design and project management tasks to ensure the successful implementation of surface facilities projects. Your responsibilities will revolve around the development of well pad facilities, central tank batteries, compression facilities, and other product/processing infrastructure. This position is located in Midland, Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work is typically performed both indoors and outdoors. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company owned vehicles. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and climbing. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Employee is required to physically visit areas where actual operations are occurring, such as drilling and completion's locations or production sites. Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing are required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.

As a Facilities Engineer at Coterra, you will play a crucial role in overseeing engineering design and project management tasks to ensure the successful implementation of surface facilities projects. Your responsibilities will revolve around the development of well pad facilities, central tank batteries, compression facilities, and other product/processing infrastructure. This position is located in Midland, Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing and managing projects related to onshore surface facilities as well as operational support
- Development of AFEs, project plans, detailed cost estimates, cost tracking reports, project updates, and presentations as needed for assigned projects
- Support a multi-disciplinary team to effectively plan out asset development
- Manage resources to adhere to project deadlines and budgets
- Identify and conceptualize design and emissions improvements for existing and new facilities
- Implement cost controls and cost reductions to ensure capital efficiency
- Develop equipment and materials specifications to meet standards
- Maintain expertise in facility and pipeline design, specifications, regulations, and requirements
- Participates in bidding processes for equipment procurement and construction
- Manage third-party engineering consultants during design, engineering, and construction phases of projects
- Supports operations and construction teams to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions
- Promote company ESG initiatives, as well as regulatory compliance policies and procedures
- Coordinate with operations and construction personnel to provide guidance on O&M procedures, start-up procedures, and safety considerations
- Able to design & specify separation equipment, flares, rotating equipment, storage tanks, safety systems, measurement, instrumentation, control valves, etc.
- Developing cost estimates, review design packages (PFDs, P&IDs, ISOs, One-lines, C&Es), and communicate effectively with construction and operations personnel
- Ability to apply strong problem solving skills to complex engineering and operational problems
- Experience with closed vent system design and the certification process
- Familiarity and working knowledge of applicable industry codes (API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc)
- Experience with hydraulic modeling, process simulation, data analytics, and CAD software
- Experience and knowledge of welding codes and procedures, weld acceptance criteria, non-destructive testing practices, and overall pipeline installation practices
- Understanding of Midstream asset design and operation, as well as DOT regulations a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with personnel at all levels in organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- FE or PE certification a plus
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a Facilities Engineer, Five (5) or more years in a directly related role preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Percent of Travel Required: 10% - 20%; Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training, and visits to field locations.
