Who You Are:

Under the general direction of the Finance Operations Manager, the Project Accountant ensures that all assigned project reporting and analysis related to One LC, Inc is accurate and timely. Additionally, the Project Accountant must ensure that all activities are closely coordinated with key partners to include field operations associates, finance and accounting management. This includes active communication with accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing, asset accounting, payroll, and treasury functions.

The Difference You Will Make:
  • Primary liaison between construction finance & assigned team/projects.
  • Review prime contracts and subcontracts, understanding contractual terms as it relates to project accounting
  • Set up original budget in Viewpoint and Procore systems. Maintain both systems current with the approved budget.
  • Process new vendor requests with AP Coordinator (Incl. W9 collection & credit check when necessary)
  • Review all A/P invoices for correct calculations including sales tax. Ensure proper job cost coding is provided. Assist Accounts Payable with timely approvals from project teams. Follow up with vendors to ensure timely invoices are provided to Accounts Payable.
  • Review and ensure proper coding of all subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and other commitments. Noting variances to budget within the Procore workflow
  • Analyze Viewpoint job cost reports and audit job cost transactions for accuracy.
  • Monitor subcontractor insurance requirements
  • Manage Procore Invoicing/Pay for assigned projects. Responsible for initiating, monitoring of monthly owner draw. Preparation & submission of monthly general contractor pay request submissions for assigned project(s). Verify draw package meets contract compliance (i.e., lien waivers, etc.)
  • Assist project team with preparation for monthly project reviews by updating monthly project financial pack with actual cost for general conditions, general requirements and WIP. Work with the Project Manager on updating project forecast. Attend and participate in reviews.
  • Achieve month end submission / cutoff deadlines.
  • Ensure Timely disbursement of owner Payment to subcontractors, in accordance with contract terms
  • Update general conditions worksheet with actual cost. Work with Construction Manager on updating general conditions cost forecast monthly
  • Support and facilitate the project closeout process of all purchase orders, subcontracts and vendors
  • Ad Hoc Project Reporting as requested and additional duties as assigned

  • Real Estate/Construction Accounting experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of Procore, and Viewpoint a plus
  • Good understanding of construction contracts
  • Good understanding of internal and project controls, process & procedures
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely with attention to detail and in a timely manner
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
  • Ability to follow up on inquiries in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related business discipline required
  • Minimum 2 years for PA
  • Viewpoint and Procore software experience is preferred
