Title: Power Plant Electrician
Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay: $45/Hour - 401k and Pension
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm
This position requires a current valid E1/E2 State of Connecticut Electrical License

Job Description:
- Knowledge of 3 phase 480V systems, motor controls, starters and associated breakers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to operate a variety of electrical test equipment including, but not limited to, digital volt meters and ammeters
- Performs installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and repair of power plant and electrical distribution equipment including panel boards, switchgear, VFD's, relays, generators, excitation systems, motors, protective devices, transformers, batteries, and other high voltage equipment from 480V-13,800V
- Ability to properly install, repair and maintain electrical utilization equipment including, but not limited to, conduit, wiring, relays, frequency drives, motors, breakers, transformers and fuses
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment and to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with various types of people.
- Maintains spare parts inventory and orders parts as required.
- Use test equipment, diagnostic and safety apparatus as appropriate to perform required duties.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds frequently
- Must have a valid Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License.
