Eastport Holdings is looking fore a Project and Systems Accountant to join our accounting team. This individual is responsible for managing the centralization and implementation of processes and procedures and the accompanying system tools for the Eastport family of agencies.

The focus of the Project and Systems Accountant is to advise and initiate the optimal processes and procedures for recording, tracking, and reporting of costs, fixed Assets, ROU leases, and other financial related balances. This includes, but not limited to the daily maintenance and optimization of the tools used such as SAGE, Concur, Saltbox, Visual Lease, and other tools implemented. This individual is adaptable in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, while remaining resourceful and efficient.

The ideal candidate has strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to demonstrate confidence and authority among teams within the affiliate agencies while completing assignments and projects as directed by Accounting Managers and the VP of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain integrity of Visual Lease and FA SAGE systems for Eastport affiliates.
  • Update systems with new and retired Operating/Finance Leases and Fixed Assets.
  • Communicate monthly with affiliates to provide journal entries, receive updates, and ensure Balance Sheet reconciliation.
  • Set deadlines with agencies to meet closing deadlines for journal entries.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for Eastport agencies,
  • Assist with annual ROU asset audit by providing schedules, reports, and audit responses.
  • Maintain and update Concur system for Eastport agencies (coding, user management, troubleshooting).
  • Reconcile credit card accounts and ensure timely coding and compliance.
  • Complete client billing (e.g., ALC, WHR) and maintain Saltbox (upload workflows, resolve errors).
  • Assist with SAGE Financial system optimization (vendor cleanup, report building, other tasks as directed).
  • Ensure compliance with financial filings under Accounting Manager's supervision.
  • Document processes, procedures, and internal controls for financial operations.
  • Support staff development through visibility, accessibility, and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, independence, and proactive issue identification.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Evidence of attention to detail.
  • Evidence of communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Excel skills, including extensive knowledge of formulas, look-up functions and other data tracking methods.
  • Excellent time and calendar management skills to adhere to department deadlines.
