Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Agile Scrum Master:

  • Engage in a [6-month contract-to-hire/full-time] role, with the potential for a permanent position.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure team alignment and progress.
  • Leverage project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Redmine for issue tracking and timeline management.
  • Support and coach teams in the adoption and application of Agile methodologies.
  • Guide teams through the project lifecycle, from preliminary design to maintenance, using Agile principles.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove impediments and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills for the Agile Scrum Master:
  • 3+ years of experience in an Agile professional role, such as Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Coach.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and issue tracking tools like Jira, Confluence, or Redmine.
  • Certification from an industry-recognized certifying organization (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe).
  • Practical application of Agile methodologies in a professional setting.
  • Advanced understanding of the project lifecycle using Agile principles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills for the Agile Scrum Master:
  • Additional Agile certifications such as:
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)
  • Certified Scrum Practitioner-Scrum Master (CSP-SM)
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
  • Experience with the CMMI Level 3 process model.
  • Understanding of industry-standard software languages.

Compensation Details: $69/hr W2
