You will join a group of seasoned professionals who are looking to support Mott MacDonald's presence in the US. From the moment you join us, you will be immersed in a team of exceptional engineering consultants, project managers, and specialists ready to support you in your career. Alongside the team, you will be assigned to a variety of projects in electrical power systems, working to deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. With guidance from a professional engineer, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
  • Attending site inspections, investigations, and monitoring.
  • Actively participating in project, client, and team meetings.
  • Reviewing, preparing, and modifying designs/reports.
  • Analyzing reports, specifications, and studies.
  • Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management.
  • Undertaking a 'digital by default' approach in deliverables.
  • Actively participating in our 'Early Careers Professional' Network.
  • Supporting our 'Purpose' in everything you do.

  • Successfully completed a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering (high voltage power engineering preferred) from an ABET accredited program in the last 2 years. Related HV / EHV experience or advanced coursework in electrical power and energy systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrable interest in Power, Renewable and/or Energy projects through relevant experience, such as your field of study, final projects, internships, volunteering, or relevant association memberships.
  • Internships within the consulting engineering industry preferred but not required.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • English at an advanced intermediate level (B2 / C1).
  • Wonderful English written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to write accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D preferred.
  • Hands on experience with PowerWorld, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD or GE PSLF preferred.

Salary Range:

MA: $86,000 - $105,000

Toronto: $77,000 CAD - $94,000 CAD
