Summary This position is located in the Department of Defense, Office of the Inspector General (DoD OIG), Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations (DIG-EVAL), Evaluation Support Center. This position manages and submits training requests, purchase orders and manages/maintains the component's accountable property account. Responsibilities Coordinates learning management for component staff, monitors staff compliance with mandatory training requirements; notifies supervisors of potential issues; works with management and staff in completing and maintaining Individual Development Plans. Provides advice on course suitability and availability and relevant regulations and policies; oversees the accurate and current maintenance of training databases and preparation of required report. Reviews, approves and processes/submits all training request (SF-182s) with in the Learning Management System. Submits and monitors funded training Purchase Requests for all EVAL staff to assure the proper approval and utilization of government fund estimates and expenditures. Routinely informs EVAL Managers of any significant deficiencies and makes recommendations to ensure adherence to cost objectives. Prepares various real time reports and briefs for EVAL Managers while providing status updates on training budgetary requirements in order to anticipate resource needs, prioritize initiatives, and select optimal expenditures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-11 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service. For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service. For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: At the GS-11, you must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level: Specialized Experience is defined as experience is defined as the ability to: Perform reviews and critical assessments of past training expenditures, new or revised program plans and relevant regulation and policy; advises on funding of proposed training program changes or new initiatives. The ability to submit, monitor, manage and control approved funded training allocations within established constraints, and advises on funding strategies. Conduct analysis of the short- and long-range resources to formulate budget proposals and recommendations for all training expenditures and unfunded requirements. Possesses the ability to account for, maintain, issue, and replace all component assigned property and equipment.
