Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for 6+ month contract to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery of products. As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Product Support Engineering to identify root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop and train inspectors on Quality Inspection Documents.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports on company quality metrics.
  • Contribute to the creation and approval of QA work instructions, check sheets, and final inspection records.
  • Generate performance charts for quality indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support metrology activities, including conducting risk assessments.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Metrology techniques.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
  • The ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with or without accommodation.
  • Willingness to work overtime, as required.
While not required, the following will set you apart:
  • Experience with machining and inspecting parts made from large aluminum castings.
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Yellow Belt, or Black Belt certification.
  • Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) functionality and programming.
  • Experience conducting Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.
  • Training or working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
