In the role of Water Resources Engineer, we'll count on you to: Provide project engineering and task management, conduct difficult to complex hydraulic modeling; develop design options or recommendations, collect, assimilate and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports Lead, assist with, or provide oversight for the preparation of contract documents including drawings, specifications, design documentation and criteria, and cost estimates for the design of new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures , irrigation facilities, pump stations, pipelines, water conveyance structures, and other civil capital infrastructure Work independently in addition to planning, organizing and assisting groups of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project/task Conduct water resources planning, plan formulation and concept development, and develop planning documentation Assist in water resources permitting efforts Coordinate design development with multi-disciplinary teams Perform project management tasks Perform construction phase services such as site observations; lead construction meetings; perform submittal review; develop as-built drawings Communicate with clients and external stakeholders This role may include client and strategic project development with Federal and State government agencies, water agencies, and utilities Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications MS degree Demonstrable experience with leading water resources design projects, including analysis, reporting, and drawing production 5+ years' experience Experience with designing for collaborative delivery methods including CM/GC, CMAR, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through Project Management Institute Experience with HEC-RAS #LI-LA1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field Previous experience in water resources engineering projects Professional Engineer (PE) license Excellent oral and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
