PURPOSE To provide thorough and accurate member service through member loans and other related functions that meet the needs of both the member and the Credit Union. These responsibilities shall be performed in accordance with the Credit Unions established policies, procedures, and core values. In order to achieve the objectives of the Credit Union, these responsibilities shall be executed promptly, courteously and accurately. FUNCTIONS Responsible for member marketing of the credit union and maintenance of knowledge of all services offered to a degree that will enable answering questions, or referring members for specific services. Responsible for assembling, preparing, and reviewing/verifying documents for loan closing, ensuring all applicable investor, state, federal and regulatory requirements are met. Perform all closing functions, including preparing closing documents and title company instructions, on a variety of residential real estate loan products through the use of production software systems (i.e. Encompass and Laser Pro). Complete an accurate and compliant Closing Disclosure to be provided to the borrower within the TRID timing guideline requirements, and monitor borrowers receipt of the document. Ensure accuracy of documents sent to closing, including but not limited to borrower names, rate, term, loan type, first payment date and escrow information. Coordinate funding dates to ensure accuracy of loan disbursements, and act as a final point of contact for all parties involved in a real estate closing transaction. Coordinate closing packages with title companies in a timely fashion, and verify that loans close within specified locks with investors as applicable. Review underwriting closing conditions to ensure salability of loan and adherence to the underwriting decision. Review and reconcile secondary market purchased and recorded loan files, documents and final insurance policies for compliance with MVFCU requirements, and complete post-closing actions as necessary. Analyzing and interpreting compliance reports (MAVENT). Order Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) for Fannie Mae loans as applicable. Manage the packaging and delivery of loans sold in the secondary market or to other investors. Manage a pipeline of conventional, portfolio, AHFC, VA, RD, FHA, and USDA loans. Cross-train in post-closing procedures and loan processing. Other duties as assigned. PREREQUISITES FOR THIS POSITION Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent with college level courses desirable. Minimum Experience: Two years minimum mortgage closing preferred or other related experience with an emphasis in lending, real estate, title, or accounting. Familiar with, or the ability to quickly adapt to, Microsoft Office, Symitar, Encompass, Doc Magic and Laser Pro. Notary Public status is required.
