Description
The Staff Accountant & Bookkeeper at InterGlobal Exhibits (IGE) plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health and stability of the organization. This position involves managing day-to-day financial and accounting operations, overseeing project costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with strategic financial decisions. The Staff Accountant & Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate month-end financial reporting.
- Monitor and control project expenses to ensure profitability.
- Utilize QuickBooks accounting software and a custom-made ERP system to manage job costing.
- Handle daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Prepare financial statements, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Design and implement internal job cost controls to support the company's growth.
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and control credit card expenses.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, 401K plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Review Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) aging reports to manage cash flow effectively.
- Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
- At least five years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with year-end financial statement audits.
- Strong payroll management experience.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
